The GRASSI Museum of Applied Art opened in 1874 under the name of “Kunstgewerbemuseum Leipzig“ (Museum of Applied Art of Leipzig), and is the second oldest Museum of Applied Art in Germany. With its first-class collection, it counts as one of the leading Museums of Applied Art in Europe.
